Accounts detail abuses by Briar Woods football players

Incidents of player-to-player abuse in Briar Woods High School football locker rooms date back to May 2014, according to those with knowledge of the incidents.

Without funds, some riders’ trails will end

Three years ago Carlos Diaz, a special education student at Forest Park High School, was extremely shy and withdrawn. Conversation did not come easily for him. Now, the senior high school student has joined the Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) and is up for a promotion to a leadership role. Diaz said he owes his success to therapeutic horseback sessions at Rainbow Therapeutic Riding Center in Haymarket.
