Grand jury indicts 47 in April

The Loudoun County Grand Jury indicted 47 people during its April 14 meeting. Offenses ranged from larceny to the rape of a child and assault and battery.

Lifelong harmonica enthusiast wants to pass on love of music

Jack Hopkins did not attend this year's Virginia HarmonicaFest, the annual event for harmonica enthusiasts. The 94-year-old resident of Westminster at Lake Ridge retirement community hasn’t lost his lifelong interest in the instrument though. He attends weekly meetings of the Capitol Harmonica Club in Fairfax County. He and one or two other harmonica players eagerly show up each Tuesday night to jam and discuss their love of the mouth harp.

Utility Work to Alter Traffic Pattern Friday

Utility work as part of the Col. Jameson Boulevard construction project will alter traffic patterns on Sperryville Pike near its intersection with Virginia Avenue for several hours starting at about 9 a.m., Friday.
