Bountiful harvest marks education farm’s 2015 season

This year the Fauquier Education Farm donated more than double the amount of produce to local food banks than it did last year. The non-profit farm gave more than 33,500 pounds of fresh squash, peppers, melons, lettuce, tomatoes, cabbages, broccoli, cucumbers, sweet corn and much more this summer. “I really believe that next year, we’re going to do even more,” said James “Jim” Hankins, coordinator of the Fauquier Education Farm.
