Incumbents, Anderson, Chapman win GOP nods

Sheriff Glen Hill and Clerk of the Circuit Court Michele McQuigg appear headed to another term after winning the Republican nomination for their seats on Saturday. Neither faces a challenge so far from a Democratic or independent opponent in the general election. Meanwhile, Board of County Supervisors Chairman Corey Stewart (R) and Coles Supervisor Marty Nohe (R) successfully fought off primary challengers while Ruth Anderson (R) and Steve Chapman (R) claimed the Republican nominations in Occoquan and Woodbridge districts for the Board of County Supervisors, respectively.
