Culpeper Police Need Help Identifying Theft Suspects
© Virginia News GroupCulpeper police are seeking the public’s help identifying two men suspected of shoplifting electronic equipment in separate incidents from the Wal-Mart Supercenter about two weeks ago.
At about 6:15 p.m., on Thursday, March 14, a black male pushed a shopping cart containing several video game systems covered by bedding into the parking lot. Store personnel confronted the black male, who couldn’t produce a receipt. He left the shopping cart in the parking lot and drove away in a white van.
The man is described as a light-complected black male, between 25 and 30 years old, about 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 9 inches tall. He weighs about 250 pounds.
Detective Richard Brooking is assigned the case.
The second incident happened a day later about 1:30 p.m. A white male allegedly took a 32-inch flat screen TV from the store. He ran in the area of Dairy Queen and got into a silver colored car. Police have no additional description of the man.
Detective Luke Altman is assigned that case.
