Raider alums set the pace for Hokies

The men's indoor track team of Virginia Tech won the Atlantic Coast Conference championship Feb. 27 in Blacksburg, and the Hokies have a couple of former Loudoun County Raiders to thank for it.

Craig and Karen LeValley are trying to find something positive out of the grief they’ve endured since Morgan, their 5-year-old German Shepherd, was shot and killed by a bow hunter on the morning of Oct. 4. Craig remembers the morning of Morgan’s death with a sense of clarity. He recalled that it was a beautiful morning and that Karen had let him sleep in while she let out the dogs – which also include two chihuahuas, Cocoa and Nestle, and another German Shepherd, Zeus.
