Margaret Ethel Virginia Pierce, age 72, longtime resident of Purcellville, VA died December 9, 2012 at Rose Hill Nursing Home in Berryville, VA after a long illness with COPD. Her life began March 14, 1940 in Loudoun County, one of 12 children born to John Wesley and Bessie Virginia (Mitchell) Robinson. After finishing school in Loudoun County she married and took on lifes most important roles. She was a devoted wife to a dairy farm worker, Mack Junior Pierce, and loving stay at home mother and homemaker to 3 sons. Eleven and a half years after her 3rd sons birth, their long awaited only daughter arrived. At almost the same time, so did her first grandchild. Sadly, two years later on April 23, 1980, she was preceded in death by her husband of 22 years. Throughout her life she devoted herself as the central figure to her children and grandchildren. She opened her heart and home to them and others and will be remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends. Her pleasures included gardening, soap operas and game shows, good conversation and laughter, especially with Ebbie Rohrer and the other ladies from Purcellville East. These activities and events showcased her strength, patience and perseverance, hard work, humor and wit. Margaret is survived by her children, Curtis L Pierce (and wife Teresa) of Inwood, WV; Mark D Pierce (and fiancée Tina Kearnes) and Robin D Pierce of Hamilton, VA; and Randy D Pierce (and wife Marlene) of Upperville, VA. Also left to cherish her memory are two dear sisters, Dorothy Pierce of Lovettsville, VA and Ruby Pierce of Purcellville; two special brothers, John Jay" Robinson of Spring Hill, TN and George "Sam" Robinson ofPurcellville, VA; her other wonderful caregivers-devoted daughters-in law, Lorraine Milton and Amanda Bowers and niece Judy Pierce. She leaves behind her "angels"-granddau ghters Christina Pierce, Candace Young, Renee Fisher, Denise McDonald, Kimberly Walker, Christy Pierce and Alicia Pierce. She also leaves her "little devils"-grandsons Curtis Pierce Jr, Mark L Pierce, Matthew Pierce, Michael Pierce and US Army Spec Randy Pierce Jr. They in turn gifted her with 5 great grandsons: Austyn Pierce, Richard Bell, Luke Pierce, Joshua Walker, and Nicholas Walker; 8 great granddaughters Jordyn Pierce, Jade Page, Makayla Hill, Ashley Fitzwater, Zoey Fisher, Keira McDonald, Gemma Pierce and Olivia Pierce. A celebration of Margarets life was held Wednesday, December 12 at Halls Funeral Home in Purcellville, VA with internment at Hillsboro Cemetery. Prayer and remembrance was directed by Reverend Louis Schwebius of Evercare Hospice. Pallbearers were her 5 grandsons and granddaughter Renee, with honoraries of Tim Craig and Joey Kearnes. Margaret wished any remembrances to benefit Purcellville Rescue Squad or Evercare Hospice. "
