The ratification, confirmation, adoption and re-adoption of zoning text amendments to the B-1, B-2 and FB/O-1 Zoning Districts which were adopted as Ordinance No. 0-2011-013, by The Dumfries Town Council September 20, 2011, wherein certain by-right/conforming uses in each district became nonconforming upon re-adoption of the zoning text amendments; these zoning text amendments were previously considered heard at a public hearing Aug. 8, 2011 by the Planning Commission and Sept. 6, 2011 by the Town Council.

NOTICE OF PROPOSED
REAL PROPERTY TAX INCREASE
The Town of Occoquan proposes to increase property tax levies.
1. Assessment Decrease: Total assessed value of real property, excluding additional assessments due to new construction or improvements to property, is less than last years total assessed value of real property by 0.12 percent.
2.Increased Rate Necessary to Off-set Decreased Assessment: The tax rate which would levy the same amount of real estate tax as last year, when multiplied by the new total assessed value of real estate with the exclusions mentioned above, would be $0.1001 per $100 of assessed value. This rate will be known as the ”increased tax rate.
3.Effective Rate Increase: The Town of Occoquan proposes to adopt a tax rate of no more than $0.12 per $100 of assessed value. The difference between the increased tax rate and the proposed rate would be $0.0199 per $100, or 19.9 percent. This difference will be known as the ”effective tax rate increase." The Town may adopt a tax rate lower than $0.12 per $100 of assessed value, but not higher than that level.
Individual property taxes may, however, increase at a percentage greater than or less than the above percentage.
4. Proposed Total Budget Increase: If the Town adopts the proposed real property tax rate, given the projected changes in other revenues, the total budget of the Town of Occoquan will exceed last years by 6.81 percent.
The public hearing on the increase will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. at Occoquan Town Hall. The Town Council, while advertising a real property rate not to exceed $.12 per $100 of assessed value, requests public input from the citizens of the Town of Occoquan before actually setting a real property tax rate, as detailed in Notice of Public Hearing on the Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2014.

The Town of Middleburg, Virginia has issued an Invitation for Bids for custodial services for the Town Hall, Pink Box Visitors Center, Health Center Building/Police Department and Liberty Street Restrooms. The contract for these services shall be for a one-year period, with the option to renew for four (4) additional one-year periods.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Evergreen Country Club has applied for a reissuance of a permit for the private Evergreen County Club. The applicant proposes to release treated sewage wastewaters from a private country club at a rate of 0.0075 million gallons per day into a water body. Sludge from the treatment process will be hauled to the Upper Occoquan Service Authority (VA0024988) for further treatment and disposal. The facility proposes to release the treated sewage in the Chestnut Lick, UT, in Prince William County in the Potomac River watershed. A watershed is the land area drained by a river and its incoming streams. The permit will limit the following pollutants to amounts that protect water quality: pH, cBOD, total suspended solids, dissolved oxygen, total kjeldahl nitrogen and E. coli.
HOW TO COMMENT AND/OR REQUEST A PUBLIC HEARING: DEQ accepts comments and requests for public hearing by hand-delivery, email, fax or postal mail. All comments and requests must be in writing and be received by DEQ during the comment period. Submittals must include the names, mailing addresses and telephone numbers of the commenter/requester and of all persons represented by the commenter/requester. A request for public hearing must also include: 1) The reason why a public hearing is requested. 2) A brief, informal statement regarding the nature and extent of the interest of the requester or of those represented by the requester, including how and to what extent such interest would be directly and adversely affected by the permit. 3) Specific references, where possible, to terms and conditions of the permit with suggested revisions. A public hearing may be held, including another comment period, if public response is significant, based on individual requests for a public hearing, and there are substantial, disputed issues relevant to the permit.
