SENIOR COOK
The Loudoun County Sheriffs Office is seeking qualified applicants for two Senior Cook positions located within the Adult Detention Center. Major job duties include: Ability to instruct and supervise unskilled inmates in the preparation and cooking of meals for the inmates confined within the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center; cleaning the kitchen after all meals are served; ensure all meals are served at scheduled times and are in compliance with the standards set by the Virginia Department of Corrections for food service as well as The National Academy of Sciences dietary requirements, and follow menus prepared by a certified dietitian; ability to work in a secure environment and rotating work schedule within the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a High School Diploma and two years job related experience, preferably in preparation of food service. Within 90 days of hire, must become CPR and First Aid certified; and within the first year of employment, obtain the food ServSafe Certification. Selection process includes background interview(s), polygraph examination, and an intensive background investigation. (Hiring Range: $28,348-$40,091) #13-T125-459 Closes: 5/24/2013.
