FOR MOUNTAIN VIEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
This Notice is to provide an opportunity for public comment from parents, teachers, residents and other interested parties to assist the Loudoun County School Board in its decision to close/convert Hillsboro Elementary School and adjust the current elementary school attendance zone for Mountain View Elementary School.

On June 23, 2015, in order to facilitate the closing and conversion of Hillsboro Elementary School to Hillsboro Charter Academy, the Loudoun County School Board took action to approve a charter school contract with Hillsboro Charter Academy to be located in the Hillsboro Elementary School effective June 30, 2016. Hillsboro Charter Academy is scheduled to open with the start of the 2016-17 academic year.

Elementary school-aged students residing in the current Hillsboro Elementary School attendance zone, who do not plan to enroll in the Hillsboro Charter Academy, are proposed to be assigned to Mountain View Elementary School effective fall 2016, at the start of the 2016-17 academic year. The current Hillsboro Elementary School attendance zone is proposed to be merged into the Mountain View Elementary School attendance zone.

The Loudoun County School Board, in accordance with Section 22.1-79 of the Code of Virginia, hereby gives public notice of a proposed closing and conversion of Hillsboro Elementary School and the attendance zone change for Mountain View Elementary School. Information regarding the proposed elementary attendance zone adjustment, in conjunction with the closure of Hillsboro Elementary School, will be presented to the School Board on Tuesday, February 9, 2016. The School Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 to receive public input on the proposed closing/conversion and change to assign the current Hillsboro Elementary School attendance area to Mountain View Elementary School. Following the February 23 public hearing, the School Board is scheduled to take action on the proposal. Additional public comment can be provided to the School Board at its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, February 9, 2016.

COMMUNITY INFORMATION MEETING NOTICE
LOUDOUN COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Loudoun County Public Schools will hold a community information meeting to review the proposed MS-7, Dulles South area middle school, on February 24, 2016, at John Champe High School library (41535 Sacred Mountain Street, Aldie, VA 20105) at 6:30 p.m.** A Commission Permit application (CMPT 2015-0010) has been filed to allow a future middle school (MS-7) and public utility service center on approximately 30-35 acres of land located on the south side of Braddock Road (Route 620), east of Twin Pond Lane and west of Grassland Grove Drive at 40929 Braddock Road, Aldie, Virginia, in the Blue Ridge Election District. The site is more particularly identified as MCPI 288-37-4064, 288-37-9271, and a portion of 288-36-7479 and is zoned TR-1 UBF (Transitional Residential-1) and TR-3UBF Transitional Residential and FOD (Floodplain Overlay District). The planned opening is for the Fall of 2019 as identified in the Loudoun County School Board Adopted 2017-2022 Capital Improvement Plan.

A Commission Permit (CMPT 2012-0003) was previously approved by Loudoun County for MS-7 on October 16, 2012. A new Commission Permit is being requested in conjunction with a proposed change in the land area and site layout. The proposed development will include a middle school of approximately 185,000 square feet, and recreational playing fields (two soccer and one softball field, plus basketball courts). This school will serve the Dulles South area with a planned capacity of up to 1,350 students. The proposed public utility service center of approximately 5,000 square feet is requested in order to utilize the existing barn, or a replacement building if the barn cannot be maintained in its current location or moved, for the storage of the LCPS maintenance equipment (mowers, weed eaters, snow plows, salt spreaders, and similar equipment).

The purpose of the meeting is to share information with the surrounding community on the proposed site. The Prince William County Watershed Management in accordance with National Flood Insurance Program regulation 65.7(b)(1), hereby gives notice of the Prince William Countys intent to revise the flood hazard information, generally located between upstream of the confluence of Flat Branch Tributary C and just upstream of Sudley Road (Rt. 234).

The Department of Homeland Securitys Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) solicits technical information or comments on proposed flood hazard determinations for the Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM), and where applicable, the Flood Insurance Study (FIS) report for your community. These flood hazard determinations may include the addition or modification of Base Flood Elevations, base flood depths, Special Flood Hazard Area boundaries or zone designations, or the regulatory floodway. 2016 TAX EXEMPTION INFORMATION

Pursuant to Section 58.1-3604 of the Code of Virginia, the Loudoun County Commissioner of the Revenue has determined that the 2016 aggregate assessed value of all real property exempted from taxation under §§ 58.1-3607 and 58.1-3608, and Articles 3, 4 and 5 of Chapter 36 of Title 58.1 of this title is $6,257,253,650.This aggregate assessed value represents 8.1 percent of all real property assessed in the County.
The total reduction in tax revenues resulting from such exemptions is $73,209,868 based on the proposed tax rate of $1.17 per $100 of assessed value.
