William Henry Pacelli

William Henry Pacelli, 68, of Warrenton, Virginia passed away surrounded by his loving family at his home on March 15, 2013. A funeral service will be celebrated at Fairfax Memorial Chapel in Fairfax, Virginia on Friday, March 22 at 1:00pm, followed by a burial within Fairfax Memorial Park. Friends and family are invited to visit with the family at Fairfax Memorial Home on Thursday, March 21 between the hours of 4:00pm through 8:00pm. For additional information or to leave a message of condolence, visit Fairfax Memorial Home website at www.fairfaxmemorialfuneralhome.com Born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut, Mr. Pacelli was the eldest of four children to Jean D’Antona and Frank Pacelli. He graduated from Boston College in 1966 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and was a devoted BC Eagles fan for the rest of his life. Mr. Pacelli worked at a top accounting firm, Ernst & Ernst in New Haven, CT, until he joined Northeast Airlines as a financial analyst in the late 1960s. There, he met the love of his life and wife of 43 years, Margaret Pacelli, nee Peggy Grant. Bill Pacelli spent his career devoted to aviation scheduling and yield and revenue management advising Delta Airlines in Atlanta, Georgia, Eastern Airlines in South Florida, East West Airlines in Sydney, Australia, and CityBird Airlines in Brussels, Belgium, before consulting in the DC metropolitan area for the last twenty-five years. It was truly a high note for him, and a befitting end to his career, working with the fine and talented group at Seabury APG in Reston, Virginia. Mr. Pacelli’s expert scheduling advice made him sought after by airlines around the globe. As such, Mr. Pacelli’s world travels took him to over 56 foreign cities, 32 countries, and 6 continents. He especially enjoyed his more local travels each summer and fall to Lake Winnepesaukee, New Hampshire, where he shared with his grandchildren his love of fresh vegetables, grilling, and New England sports. Bill is survived by his adoring wife, three children, and their spouses, (Kristin Pacelli of Fairfax, Virginia, Lauren & Matt McLaughlin of Arlington, Virginia, and Marc & Megan Pacelli of Melrose, Massachusetts). Special to Bill’s life were his sister-in-laws, Donna and Diane Grant, formerly of Billerica, Mass, now Warrenton, Virginia. Bill’s legacy truly lives on by the apples of his eyes, his cherished six grandchildren, (Samantha, Wade, Joseph, Caroline, Sophie & Alexa). He is also survived by his two brothers (Frank Pacelli of New Haven, Connecticut and Andre Pacelli of Fairview, New Jersey) and his nieces and nephews (Michael & Jhenna Pacelli MacDonough, Andre & Kalyn Pacelli, Justin Pacelli and Lindsey Pacelli) whom he cared for deeply. He is also survived by two very special ladies in his life, his maternal aunts (Ann Pulciani and Mary Catenza from Connecticut), an uncle, Robert Pulciani, and several loving cousins he grew up with.
