Virginia Embrey

Martha Virginia Embrey, 78, of Catlett died on March 18, 2013 at Fauquier Hospital.
The only child of the late David A. and Lottie Whetzel, she was born at the family home on February 22, 1935 and lived there until she became ill and could not live alone.
In 1956, she married her school sweet-heart Eugene W. Embrey, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Embrey worked as a bookkeeper at Kress Department store for many years, then two other businesses before working in Voter Registration.
She played the piano at Jehoash Church in Catlett for 40 years.
She is survived by three first cousins; Ruby A. Heflin of Catlett, Glen Allen of Michigan and Doris Ann Ballenger of Gaithersburg, MD and second cousins, Frances J. Heflin and Brenda L. Simpson of Warrenton. She also leaves a sister-in-law, Gladys E. Majors of Catlett and brother-in-law John Embrey of Fredericksburg.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 22, 2013 from 6-8 PM at Moser Funeral Home where services will be held on Saturday at 2 PM. Interment Catlett Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America, 801 18th St NW  Washington, DC 20006.
