Teen assaulted in home by stranger; PD offers reward

SEXUAL ASSAULT, WOODBRIDGE

The Prince William County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in providing information about a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred in the Woodbridge area of Prince William County.

On December 17th at 3:05PM, police and detectives from the Special Victims Bureau responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred in the 4400 block of Echo Ct in Woodbridge (22193). The victim, a 15 year old female of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was inside her residence when she heard someone knocking at her front door. Upon answering, the victim encountered an unknown man who claimed to work for a cable company. The man asked to speak with a person that did not reside at the residence. After informing the man that no such person lived at the residence, he reportedly left. A short time later the same man returned, this time threatening the victim if she did not let him inside the residence. Once inside the home, the man displayed what appeared to be a knife and forced the victim to a bedroom where he sexually assaulted her. At one point, the victim began to scream and kick towards the man who then fled the residence. Following the encounter, the victim contacted police. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
