State lists snow totals

According to state officials: A major snowstorm is affecting northwest, northern and central Virginia. As of 1:50 p.m., here are examples of snow amounts: 20” in Augusta and Warren counties 19-1/2” in Rockingham County 19” in Greene County 17” in Stuarts Draft A foot of snow has fallen in Clarke, Fauquier, Highland, Orange, Shenandoah, Nelson and Madison counties. About 215,000 customers are without power. Due to the heavy, wet nature of the snow, power companies expect that it will take multiple days to restore power.
