Robyn Puryear named Assistant Principal of Sycamore Park Elementary School


Robyn Puryear has been named the new assistant principal for Sycamore Park Elementary School, effective July 1st.

 
Ms. Puryear, 49, has worked as an assistant principal for six years at Eastern View High School, and has worked in education as a teacher and an administrator for 22 years. She began her teaching career in El Paso, Texas, teaching bilingual kindergarten.


Ms. Puryear resides in Madison, Virginia. She received her undergraduate degree from Randolph-Macon Women’s College. In addition, she holds two Master’s Degrees - one in Elementary Education from Western Kentucky University and the second in Administration and Supervision from George Mason University.
 

When she is not working, Ms. Puryear enjoys spending time with friends and family. Her hobbies are hiking, gardening, cooking, and pottery.

 
Ms. Puryear stated, “I am excited about returning to elementary education, my first love and passion, and I am looking forward to partnering with the staff, students, and the families of Sycamore Park Elementary School.
