Murder *3RD SUSPECT IDENTIFIED & ARRESTED – On January 21st, detectives from the Violent Crimes Bureau identified and arrested the 3rd suspect involved in the murder which was reported to have occurred in the 17600 block of Washington St in Dumfries on January 17th. The accused was located in Dumfries. The initial suspects are still being sought on active warrants for murder.
Arrested on January 21st:
Reginald Keith TOLLIVER, 38, of no fixed address
Charged with 1st degree murder
Court date unavailable, held WITHOUT bond

Homicide Investigation (Previously Released) – On January 17th at 3:26AM, police responded to the 17600 block of Washington St in Dumfries (22026) for a shooting. Caller reported to police that gunshots were heard at an address in the above area. Officers arrived and discovered the victim, an adult female, suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body. Rescue personnel responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Later that day, detectives from the Violent Crimes Bureau identified 2 suspects involved in the homicide. The investigation revealed that both suspects were involved in the killing of the victim following a previous encounter. The 2 suspects knew the victim and there is believed to be a third male, not identified. Through an extensive investigation, detectives obtained warrants against the 2 known suspects, as well as, executed multiple search warrants at 17675 Washington St #’s 204 and 101. The suspects were not located and remain wanted. Detectives are still working to locate these suspects. This case has been classified as a murder. The investigation continues.

Douglas Jason TOLLIVER, 29, of 4229 Jonathan Ct in Dumfries
Described as a black male, 5’06”, 150lbs, with black hair and brown eyes

The victim has been identified as Tasheka Lashon LEAVELL, 35, of Dumfries
Residential Burglary | Discharge of a Firearm in Public – On January 22nd at 12:17AM, police responded to the 9800 block of Shallow Creek Lp in Bristow (20136) for a burglary in progress. The homeowner reported to police that 3 unknown, masked men forced their way into his residence. Once inside the residence, the men went to a rear bedroom where they confronted and began assaulting the victim, another occupant of the home. The men eventually left the residence. The victim followed and, at one point, displayed a handgun and began firing towards the intruders. In the process, 3 unoccupied, parked vehicles were struck. The victim was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. No property was taken. This incident does not appear to be random. No description was provided for the suspects. Following the investigation, warrants were obtained against the victim, now the accused. Investigation continues.

Described as a white male, 5’6”, 145lbs, with black hair and brown eyes
Wanted for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and willful discharge of a firearm in a public place
Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On January 18th at 8:25AM, police responded to the 1200 block of Corbett Pl in Woodbridge (22193) for a destruction of property. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 25 year old woman of Woodbridge, was involved in a verbal altercation with the accused, a known acquaintance, over the telephone the night prior on January 17th. Shortly after midnight, the victim heard a loud noise coming from outside her residence. The victim checked on the noise and discovered a tire on her vehicle had been deflated. Officers arrived and determined that someone had fire a round into the tire causing it to deflate. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was determined to have been responsible and warrants were obtained. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

Described as a black male, 5’11”, 230lbs, heavy build, with black hair and brown eyes
Wanted for reckless handling of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and destruction of property
Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On January 20th at 1:02AM, police responded to the 14900 block of Dumfries Rd in Manassas (20112) for a domestic. The victim, a 21 year old woman of Dumfries, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim multiple times and, at one point, began to choke her. The accused also reportedly broke the victim’s cell phone during the altercation. The victim was able to get away and contact police. Minor injuries were reported. The accused fled prior to police arrival but turned himself into police the following day.
