For the first time since the creation of the Evergreen District last decade, Brentsville District topped Fauquier for the post-season district wrestling title on Saturday in Bealeton.

The Tigers produced five individual winners in the finals compared to the Falcons' three. Brentsville's victors included Billy Cornwell, Quinlin Langford, Zack Roseberry, Brenden Velez and Jeffery Walker, according to an online post by the western Prince William County wrestling club Premium BlenD, which is run by Brentsville head coach Jess Moore.

Second-place winners include Ralph Carter and Justice Jacobs. Duncan Moyer came in third place while Josh Meldrum, Zack Parker and Charlie Lawrence all finished in fourth.

Moore predicted to the Times back in December that Brentsville would have a shot at the district championship despite being underdogs against the usual powerhouse Fauquier.
