Battlefield wrestlers capture regular-season, post-season district titles
Battlefield repeated as the Cedar Run District tournament champions on Saturday in Loudoun County, two days after clinching the regular season district title.

Earning 210.5 points overall, Battlefield earned five first-place victories at Freedom High School in South Riding while the rest of the starting line-up ended up in the top five.
Matt Asper (106 pounds), Alec Shrauder (113), Caleb Peltzer (132), Justus Weaver (145) and Alex Thomas (170) all took home the gold while Francis Njoke (220) Thomas's brother Andrew Thomas (182) came in second place and Chase Richardson (160) captured third.
Two other Bobcats, Calvin Nisson (126) and Kyle Pederson (285), placed fourth and the remaining three ended up in fifth: Zac Muniz (120), Roberto Aguilar (138) an Jack Eybers (195).
Next up for Battlefield is the Northwest Regional tournament, set for Feb. 8-9 at Patriot High School in Nokesville.
