The Potomac Mills location offers approximately 8,500 square feet of dining space and room for more than 300 guests.
Last Tuesday, the island-themed restaurant opened to invited guests -- community leaders and other VIPs -- who were provided with free lunch and drinks the day before the restaurant opened to the public.
Sharing a platter of oversized chicken wings with his staff, Board of County Supervisors Chairman Corey Stewart (R) said the restaurant is a prime example of the revitalization of the Woodbridge area.
“Everywhere I go, residents, particularly in the eastern side of the county, are thrilled with the new restaurants and high-end retail that is popping up,” he said.
Bahama Breeze is a stand-alone outbuilding in the Potomac Mills parking lot, between the AMC movie theater and Costco.
The restaurant is open daily at 11 a.m. for lunch and dinner.
Happy hour is from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 p.m. to close Thursday through Sunday.
