TOWN HALL MEETING

The Citys ”Communicating with our Residents program is a continuing effort by City Government to better communicate with our citizens, listen to citizen views and plan for the future.

What City leaders hope to gain goes beyond insights on what citizens think...to strengthen the quality of community dialogue, helping citizens to understand the complexity of issues that affect the community, finding common ground and shared values and working jointly to address issues that affect us all. Finally, the City is recruiting volunteers for City and School projects.

These Town Hall meetings are conducted at elementary schools based on the geographic neighborhood police areas established as part of the police departments City-wide Community Policing Plan.This allows the various police neighborhood team leaders and officers to be introduced and available for assistance. Residents in these neighborhood police areas are normally notified of the meetings by mail, legal ad in local newspaper and through the Government Access Channel.
