Blue Ridge task force makes drug arrest
© Prince William Times / Jun. 28, 2013On June 26 the Blue Ridge Narcotics and Gang Task Force, in conjunction with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office executed a narcotics search warrant at the residence Joseph Edward Mozucha located in Barboursville. Items seized from the residence included approximately one ounce of Heroin, one ounce of marijuana, prescription medications, digital scales, electronic devices, $270 cash, three flat panel televisions and a 2000 Ford Mustang. The search warrant was a direct result of multiple controlled purchases of heroin by confidential informants from Mozucha. The street value of the heroin seized, wholesale is $5,600. One gram of heroin typically sells for $200 in the Culpeper area. The street value of the marijuana seized is approximately $220.
Mozucha, 48, was arrested at his residence on McDaniel Circle in Barboursville and charged with felony possession with the intent to distribute a schedule I or II drug, heroin. Additional charges are pending.
The Blue Ridge Narcotics and Gang Task Force is Multi-Jurisdictional Task Force responsible for narcotic and gang investigations in the counties of Culpeper, Fauquier, Greene, Madison, Orange and the towns of Culpeper and Orange. It is comprised on detectives and Investigators from the aforementioned sheriff’s offices, town police departments and special agents from the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation Drug Enforcement Section.
