TOWN OF HAYMARKET
ACCESS IMPROVEMENTS TO
THE SOUTHERN RAILWAY CABOOSE
INVITATION FOR BID NO. IFB 20140821

Sealed bids, for Access Improvement to the Southern Railway Caboose, will be received until 3:00 P.M., September 22, 2014, in the Town of Haymarkets 15000 Washington Street, Suite 100 Office.Bids received after time specified will not be accepted.

Generally, the project consists of constructing a deck, stairs, and railing on the Haymarket Museum property connecting the Museum and the Southern Railway Caboose located at 15025 Washington Street, GPIN 7298-80-7308. Work also includes landscaping in front of the Caboose.

All work will be performed in accordance with the approved project plans and bid documents.

Contractors may pick up a CD containing Bidding Documents and Plans upon payment of non-refundable fee by a check or money order in the amount of Twenty Dollars ($20.00) from the Town of Haymarket at 15000 Washington Street, Suite 100, Haymarket, VA 20169 Attention: Jennifer Preli, (703) 753-2800. Make checks payable to Town of Haymarket.

At least ten (10) calendar days prior to the date for receipt of Bids, address any and all technical questions concerning the project in writing for attention of the Engineer:

If specifications, plans, a word, phrase, clause, or any other portion of the Invitation For Bid, including the Schedule/Summary of Unit Bid Prices or other Documents that make up the Contract Documents, is alleged to be ambiguous, confusing, or in conflict, the Bidder shall submit written notice of such to the Town Engineer no later than ten (10) days prior to the date for receipt of bids and shall request an interpretation. The Town is not held responsible for any other explanations or interpretations of the Bidding Documents or Contract Documents unless made by formal Addenda. No employee or agent of the Town shall have the authority to furnish any other explanation or interpretation, verbal or written.

The Town of Haymarket, Virginia reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities and irregularities in bidding, and to accept bids, which are, on consideration, in the best interest of the Town.

NOTICE OF IMPOUNDMENT
OF ABANDONED VEHICLE
This notice is to inform the owner and any person having a security interest in their right to reclaim the motor vehicle herein described within 15 days after the date of storage charges resulting from placing the vehicle in custody, and the failure of the owner or persons having security interests to exercise their right to reclaim the vehicle within the time provided shall be deemed a waiver by the owner, and all persons having security interests of all right, title and interest in the vehicle, and consent to the sale of the abandoned motor vehicle at a public auction.

This notice shall also advise the owner of record of his or her right to contest the determination by the Sheriff that the motor vehicle was ”abandoned, as provided in Chapter 630.08 of the Loudoun County Ordinance, by requesting a hearing before the County Administrator in writing. Such written request for a hearing must be made within 15 days of the notice.
