Walk planned to fight Alzheimer’s

Battlefield Baptist is planning AWANA clubs and the Upward basketball and cheerleading league for children. AWANA is a Bible club for children ages 2 through sixth grade and meets on Wednesdays at 7 p.m.The Upward basketball and cheerleading league offers sports for children in K-6. The teams focus on sportsmanship and teamwork over individual scoring.

Families can learn anger management
When Families Get Angry is a three-session course offered by the Virginia Cooperative Extension to assist parents in dealing with anger in the home. The cost is $40 per person or couple. Food Pantry fundraiser planned
The Haymarket Regional Food Pantry will host its second annual Silent Auction & Dinner Dance on Sept. 28, from 7 to 11 p.m. at Evergreen Country Club in Haymarket. Tickets are $60 per person and include dinner, live music and a silent auction.
