Spiritual support office offers free care
The Spiritual Care Support Ministry's Bristow - Manassas Satellite Office is open every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., providing support, education, and a Biblical perspective to those who are ill, dying, grieving and experiencing personal loss, and to those who journey with them. Recovery group focuses on relationships
A recovery support group is offered for those suffering from broken or unhealthy relationship patterns. The group focuses on development and maintenance of healthy relationships and meets at Church of the Brethren in Manassas on Mondays and Fridays at 7 p.m. in the back of the church, lower level. New Covenant Community Fellowship has moved to its new location, 9420 Forestwood Lane in Manassas, near the Post Office off Sudley Road.Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday, followed by worship at 11 a.m. Bible study is held each Thursday at 8 p.m.

Battlefield Baptist is planning AWANA clubs and the Upward basketball and cheerleading league for children. AWANA is a Bible club for children ages 2 through sixth grade and meets on Wednesdays at 7 p.m.The Upward basketball and cheerleading league offers sports for children in K-6. The teams focus on sportsmanship and teamwork over individual scoring.

BRMC Halloween Safari planned
The Bull Run Mountain Conservancy's 2012 Halloween Safari will be held Oct. 20 and Oct. 26-27, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The hour-long nighttime hike includes natural history skits and is followed by face-painting, snacks, a bonfire and music. Participants should bring a flashlight.The cost is $7 in advance and pre-registration is required.

Families can learn anger management
When Families Get Angry is a three-session course offered by the Virginia Cooperative Extension to assist parents in dealing with anger in the home. The cost is $40 per person or couple. Food Pantry fundraiser planned
The Haymarket Regional Food Pantry will host its second annual Silent Auction & Dinner Dance on Sept. 28, from 7 to 11 p.m. at Evergreen Country Club in Haymarket.
