The 39 Stepsfollows the misadventures of Englishman Richard Hannay, who stumbles into a web of intrigue involving murder, international spy rings, abductions, seductions and true romance, while on a mad romp through downtown London, aboard speeding trains, and over dark Scottish moors in search of the mysterious 39 Steps! The Artwork of Gari Melchers’ Descendant, Weatherly Melchers Stroh to be Featured in Middleburg
Birmingham, MI – Artist, Weatherly Stroh, will have her work on display May 1-31st at Common Grounds in Middleburg, VA. Stroh, an oil painter and sculptor, specializes in landscapes and animal portraits. An artist reception will be held at Common Grounds from 4-6 p.m. on May 2nd. A lifelong animal lover, Stroh donates a portion of her annual sales to the Humane Society.Weatherly Stroh’s career as an animal portrait painter brings together a variety of aspects of her life – as the great-grand niece of American Impressionist painter Gari Melchers, as a young art student at Cranbrook-Kingswood, as a young girl growing up on a farm in the heart of the Michigan horse country, and as an avid, nationally ranked horsewoman.
Working in oils, Stroh is an artist working in a painterly representational style. Dominant subjects of her paintings are horses,

Vpstart Crow plans ‘Arsenic and Old Lace’
Vpstart Crow Productions will perform the dark comedy “Arsenic and Old Lace” on weekends, Sept. 28 to Oct. 7, at the Hylton Performing Arts Center.Shows start at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 p.m. on Sundays.
