Spiritual Care Support Ministry - “Bereavement Support”

Bereavement Support: Mondays, September 15 – November 24. Morning group is at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, from 10 – 11:30 am; the evening group is from 7–8:30 pm, at Culpeper Regional Hospital. It is a special weekly seminar and support group for people who are grieving the death of someone close to them, a place to meet with other people who are feeling the emotions of grief. You will learn valuable information about recovering from grief and renewing hope for the future from a Faith based perspective. Adults and teens welcome. Culpeper County Extension Office - “Master Gardener Volunteer Training”

Do you like gardening? Do you like giving back to the community? If so, then the Virginia Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Volunteer program would be a great fit for you! Join others who have a passion for growing food and ornamental plants and sharing what they know with others. The Culpeper Extension Office has a Master Gardener Volunteer training class coming up for residents in Culpeper, Madison, and Orange counties that begins September 9, 2014. You don’t have to be an experienced gardener to be accepted into the program. We teach you the basics and after that there are numerous continuing educational opportunities. Culpeper Literacy Council - “ESOL Writing Skills Workshop”

CLC is offering a new ESOL Writing Skills Workshop that is for Intermediate ESOL students who want to work on their writing skills. Writing will be the main focus of this class, but soft skills, conversational skills and reading skills taught. The class will start on Saturday, September 6th and will be held weekly on Saturdays. Brandy Station Foundation - “Battle of Brandy Station Remembrance Day”

The event will include a battlefield tour, historic theater with the Mosby Players, a bivouac camp inspection area with Thompson's Independent Battery C, PA Vol., cannon firing, Graffiti House tours, Out of Time Teachers, Kennedy's Historical Gun Display, memorial to John Pelham, and Children's Corner with vintage clothes and toys.
