Spiritual Care Support Ministry - “Bereavement Support”

Special weekly seminars and support groups for people who are grieving the death of someone close to them. It is a place to meet with other people who are feeling the emotions of grief. You will learn valuable information about recovering from grief and renewing hope for the future from a Faith based perspective. The groups are held at the Spiritual Care Support Ministry Center in Warrenton, VA. The groups are non-denominational and free. Teens and adults are welcome. Belle Grove Plantation Presents - “Belle Grove In the Civil War” Tours for September/October 2014

In commemoration of the upcoming 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Cedar Creek, Belle Grove will continue to offer a special tour that discusses Belle Grove Plantation during the Civil War. The 45-minute tour will be offered at 3:15 p.m. on: Tuesday, September 16, Tuesday, September 23, Tuesday, September 30, Saturday, October 4, Tuesday, October 7 and Saturday, October 11. “Belle Grove in the Civil War” will include the Civil War Shenandoah Valley campaigns from 1862 through 1864 and will highlight areas in the Manor House as well as in the surrounding landscape. Culpeper County Extension Office - “Master Gardener Volunteer Training”

Do you like gardening? Do you like giving back to the community? If so, then the Virginia Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Volunteer program would be a great fit for you! Join others who have a passion for growing food and ornamental plants and sharing what they know with others. The Culpeper Extension Office has a Master Gardener Volunteer training class coming up for residents in Culpeper, Madison, and Orange counties that begins September 9, 2014. You don’t have to be an experienced gardener to be accepted into the program. We teach you the basics and after that there are numerous continuing educational opportunities.
