State Theatre urges you to Give Locally this Tuesday

- Despite a short time frame, State Theatre organizers remain optimistic that the necessary funds will be in place by year's end to keep the theatre doors open.

- Big holes in cheeses like Swiss and Jarlsberg are called “eyes.” The bigger the eyes, the bolder the cheese, goes the saying. Ask a kid how the holes get in the cheese and you are likely to get a quizzical look and creative answers. My favorite guesses so far are that the smooth eyes in Swiss cheese are “drilled out” and better still, “made by mice running through the wheel of cheese.” Neither is true – it’s a gas.
