- One of the best parts of being a community television producer is getting to experience the different types of people and personalities that make up our community. We may only be with a person for an hour but because of the focused nature of an interview we really get a very good look into a person's life. This is especially true after the cameras are turned off and they add context and more background to what they shared in the interview.

- Nothing says “college drama class exercise” like actors lined up delivering alternating words in a single speech. If that were my only exception to Karin Coonrod’s world premiere contribution to the Women’s Voices Theatre Festival as it appears at Folger, I would happily recommend it for a closer look. Unfortunately, hackneyed devices and overly clever riffs are the vehicle for – I’m guessing here – a study of the life and character of Elizabeth I.
