Patricia Miller

PATRICIA MILLER Patricia Miller, 78, a War renton resident and former marketing manager with Atlantic Self Storage, died on October 24, 2012 in Warrenton, VA. Patricia Miller was born and raised in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She was a 1954 summa cum laude graduate of Purdue University, where she met and married David H. Miller in 1955. She taught elementary school for four years in Norfolk, Virginia and Boston, Massachusetts. From 1959 to 1964, she lived in Louisville, Kentucky, and St. Louis, Missouri, where she began raising her family. Mrs. Miller moved to Bethesda, Maryland in 1964, where she worked in model home interior design for Miller & Smith, Inc., a local homebuilding firm started by her husband. In 1979, Mrs. Miller moved to McLean, Virginia. She helped her husband found Atlantic Self Storage in 1984, and served as marketing manager for this company until her retirement in 2000. She lived in Warrenton, Virginia from 1993 until her death. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Warrenton Presbyterian Church, where she served on the building committee responsible for the construction of a new sanctuary completed in 2000. Mrs. Miller was an active member of the Francis Fauquier Garden Club and held several leadership positions, including most recently first vice-president. She enjoyed reading and was a member of a Warrenton book club. Mrs. Miller also enjoyed boating, travel, music and pastel painting. Her husband of 49 years, David H Miller, died in 2004. Survivors include her three children: Ann Winston of McLean, Virginia, Beth Bartholomew of Southlake, Texas, and Eric Miller of Warrenton, Virginia; two sisters, Virginia Edelson of Henderson, Nevada, and Marie Irle of Hartford, Wisconsin; and six grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Warrenton Presbyterian Church on Monday, November 5, 2012 at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fauquier Health Foundation, 170 W. Shirley Ave. #101, Warrenton, Virginia 20186.
