Larry Dennis Jenkins
© Culpeper TimesLarry Dennis Jenkins, 54 of Etlan, passed away on
Friday, March 8, 2013 at his residence after a year long
battle with esophageal cancer.
Larry was born on December 20,1958 in Front Royal,
Virginia, the son of Thelma Marie Cave Jenkins and the
late Bernard L. Jenkins.
Larry was most recently employed by his brother
Ronnie with Ronnie Jenkins Tree Service and Landscaping,
Inc. He also worked for a number of years with Davey Tree
Company as a tree climber.
Larry had an endless love for his family, friends and
his puppy Lucy who brought him much comfort and joy
during the last few months of his life. He was a loyal
Redskins fan, Jeff Gordon fan and loved the horse races.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife,
Lori Jenkins of Etlan, his daughter, Heather Thomas of
Etlan, four stepdaughters, Heidi Mutter of Culpeper,
Amanda Bibb of Louisa, Shana Lewis of Iowa, Kaylor
Coates of Etlan, two stepsons, Billy Darnell, Jr. of Culpeper,
and Aaron Darnell of Madison, two brothers, Ronnie
Jenkins and his wife Sandra of Madison, Richard Jenkins
and his wife Sissie of Etlan, three sisters, Rhonda Baldwin
and her husband Jack of Sperryville, Cathy Pullen and her
husband Ricky of Washington, Angie Jenkins of Sperryville,
one grandson, Christopher Simpson, nine step
grandchildren, Shane, Gadge, Alex, Nicholas, Violet,
Joshua, Keeley, T.J and Robbie, two nephews, Allen Jenkins
of Luray, David Baldwin of Sperryville, three nieces, Donna
Woodward of Rochelle, Amanda Jenkins of Culpeper,
Ashleigh Pullen of Washington and many other relatives
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday,
March 12, 2013 at the Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in
Madison with Pastor Ray Berry and the Rev. John K. Burke
Interment was in the Etlan Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ray Sisk, Donnie Dodson, Mike
Heflin, Dickie Jenkins, Richard Jenkins, Sr and Roger
