A Benefit Concert for the State Theatre
HIGHROLLER is a classic rock / southern rock band based in Orange, Virginia. The band has been in existence since 1984, performing in clubs and for private events. There have been a couple different chapters to the band with a few lineup changes throughout the past 29 years. After a six year hiatus, the story now continues. Guitarist Bruce Slaughter and drummer Dwayne Gilmore are the two remaining co-founding members of the band. Mike Smith is the lead vocalist and keyboardist and Austin Gilmore is the bassist. On lead guitar is new comer to the band lineup, Rand Coleman. It is not a coincidence that there are two Gilmore’s in the band now. Dwayne and Austin are uncle and nephew teaming up and holding down the bottom end. This next and final chapter of the band is well underway and is as strong as ever. HIGHROLLER has maintained the same explosive sound throughout its history performing music ranging from Lynyrd Skynyrd to Bad Company to Led Zeppelin and everything else in between.
