Culpeper Downtown 16th Annual 4th of July Car and Bike Show

2015 will mark the 16th annual show, which has grown to over 200 entrants. Thousands of spectators enjoy walking along historic Davis and Commerce streets to view all types of classic and modified vehicles. Registration for participants is from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Pre-registration is suggested. Judging begins at 10:00 a.m., and the Awards Presentation starts at 2:30 p.m. with more than 50 trophies awarded. The Car Show is one part of the Culpeper Festival Committee's town wide 4th of July Celebration.

ACTHA Obstacle Challenge

I’m SOW Healthy” FREE Cooking Classes for Kids at Culpeper Downtown Farmers Market

Georgette Mosley, Senior Program Assistant, has put together an exciting FREE educational opportunity. The cooking activities begin at 9 a.m. and continue while supplies last. The goal of this program is to promote healthy eating to area youth.
July 25: Corn-on-A-Stick. You no longer have to wait for the State Fair to enjoy corn-on-a-stick. Participants will have the opportunity to dress their "ears" using several toppings ranging from butter to freshly snipped herbs for a yummy, one of a kind treat.

Weather Science STEM Summer Camp

This science camp will be filled with exploration of weather related science and activities. By the end of the week, campers will have built their own weather stations and have working knowledge of using data they collect to accurately predict weather changes. This camp will take lace primarily on the Funie Farm with some weather related field trips such as meeting a local weather personality, touring a TV station to see weather news being made, or touring an airport with a local pilot instructor to learn how weather affects flight. There will also be time to learn about the farm including gardening, aquaponics, and animal husbandry.

September 26: Guacamole. Participants will have a ball smashing ripe avocados before stirring them together with tomatoes, onions and cilantro to create this creamy, healthy, treat just in time for National Hispanic Heritage Month.
