St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church - “Workshop with Charlottesville Artist Michael Fitts”

The Blue Ridge Art League is sponsoring a one day workshop with Charlottesville artist, Michael Fitts. Examples of Michael Fitts' work may be viewed on his Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/MichaelFittsPaintings. Michael will discuss the path he forged for himself to become a fine art professional, as well as demonstrate his methods, skills, and techniques. Each participant will begin to create their own original painting based on his teachings. Michael will be available for critique and instruction. 14th Annual Brunswick Stew Festival

Stew masters from across the mid-Atlantic region come together at the 17th Farmers’ Market for this annual event. Stew is available by the sample and you can purchase quarts to take home. Try them all and then vote for your favorite in the “Best Stew master” competition. In addition to delicious stew, festival attendees can enjoy great live music, ice-cold brew, children’s area with petting zoo, and an expanded craft marketplace featuring dozens of vendors with locally-made goods from across the state.
