The Freeway Revival playing at The State Theatre of Culpeper$17.50 advance/$20 at the door
All individual ticket prices include a $1.00 Historic Preservation Fee.
The Freeway Revival is a band that was forged on the road. A passion for making and performing original music and an extensive schedule of touring has built an archive of original material and an alchemic chemistry and powerful stage presence.
The Freeway Revival’s blend of classic rock, blues, country, and soul incorporates lyrics that are an expression of life on the road. Tasteful guitar harmonies, vocal harmonies, and an assortment of piano and organ melodies provide an all-encompassing, familiar sound.
The Freeway Revival has been blessed with opportunities to open for artists such as Kansas, Ron Holloway, Story of the Year and Devin Allman’s band, The Royal Southern Brotherhood. The band has toured coast to coast on multiple occasions playing to responsive crowds.
In May 2014, the band traveled to Los Angeles where they recorded their upcoming album with John Ryan of Chicago Kid Productions (Allman Bros. Band, Styx, Santana, Lynyrd Skynyrd and One Direction). The album features Jorgen Carlsson of Government Mule on bass and Fernando Sanchez on drums. Stay tuned for the release of “Over The Mountain” in Winter 2014.

The Jefferson Theater Presents - “Bold As Love: A Birthday Tribute to Jimi Hendrix”For decades, the psychedelic blues-rock of Jimi Hendrix has inspired countless musicians around the world. His iconic blend of innovative electric guitar work, imaginative song writing and mind-blowing stage performance has remained the ultimate in true rock music genius. Eli Cook has spent years developing a wide selection of popular and lesser known Hendrix cuts that he will bring to the Jefferson Theater stage on November 28th in an exhilarating tribute show to celebrate Jimi's 72nd birthday. The concert will include original renditions along with spot on, note-for-note covers, medleys, extended jams and creative re-imaginings of Hendrix classics. Also performing will be Charlottesville guitar-shredding hero Joe Lawlor (of Egypt) as well as soulful rockers Moby & the Dicks. The show is a true celebration of the spirit of Jimi!
