October, a thirty-one day celebration of not just delicious and diverse cheeses, but the farmers, cheesemakers, retailers, cheesemongers, and chefs who bring them to your table. Vote against that? Shawn Berry’s estate files $10M civil suit against Central Virginia Regional Jail

- The estate of former inmate Shawn C. Berry filed a 19-page civil lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Charlottesville Tuesday against the Central Virginia Regional Jail Authority, former jail Superintendent F. Glenn Aylor, nine named jail personnel and numerous unnamed staff alleging medical malpractice resulted in the “deliberate torture and killing of Berry.”
