- Veteran attorney Hunter B. Chapman recently filed a civil petition, in the Culpeper County Circuit Court, naming Commonwealth Attorney Megan Frederick as the defendant in an effort to get Frederick to seek criminal charges against a former employee of Virginia Broadband. While seeking a criminal process, the petition itself is civil and is filed in civil court.

Council committee votes to close street

- Three members of a Culpeper town council Public Safety, Public Works Committee voted Tuesday against the recommendation of a taxpayer-funded $32,400 traffic study that measured traffic volume and impact on nearby intersections if Burgandine Avenue was closed at Ira Hoffman

- The Culpeper Town Council spent more time debating the funding of outside agencies at last Thursday’s special council meeting than talking about the rest of the $16.1 general operating budget, which has generated little discussion since it was unveiled last month.
