Salute to our Veterans: Free dental care available to qualifying veterans on November 11

- The Piedmont Regional Dental Clinic (PRDC) will hold its second “Our Turn To Serve” clinic to provide free dental care to low income, uninsured Virginia veterans on Veterans Day, November 11th. Participating veterans will receive an oral cancer and blood pressure screening, and their choice of an extraction, a filling or a cleaning.

- It’s hard to know whether this vivacious young woman with a brushstroke figure and dazzling blue eyes is a mirror of the bold colors in the acrylic painting she holds or whether her soul has been imparted on the canvas. As she carries her freshly finished painting up a flight of stairs to a group of small rooms above her father’s jewelry store on Main Street, the painting and painter seem joined at the hip.

Geek Life: Let the games begin in Culpeper

- Located at 1202 S. Main Street, Geek Life is larger than it looks with several playing rooms and a much larger room in the back filled with long tables and attractive blue tapestry chairs.
