- On Friday, Feb. 5, the Culpeper Senior Nutrition Site, better known as the Culpeper senior center, hosted a renovation kick off party, culminating almost three and a half years of fundraising.

- Formerly owners of Ralph’s Custom Jewelers, the Goodnights saw an opportunity when Petersen’s closed its doors. Looking to expand, they now have a much larger showroom plus a labyrinth of rooms in the back that house all the equipment needed to design, cast, engrave and make their unique pieces along with the help of a master jeweler named Eddy.

A lesson on girl power

- Seventeen-year old Hailey Jackson and 16-year-old Ashleigh Fairfax are students in Michelle Marshall’s FCCLA class at Culpeper County High School. They came up with an idea that blossomed into a unique program held recently in the auditorium at the school.

State of the State Theatre

- Citizen’s time had one speaker Tuesday evening at the monthly Culpeper County Board of Supervisors meeting. That was Steven Barker who currently has taken on the role of Save The State campaign manager. He is also their events and outreach coordinator.

Culpeper County receives distinguished budget award

- The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada recently announced that Culpeper County has received the GFOA's Distinguished Budget Presentation Award.
