Happy campers at Camp Fantastic

Photo by Wally Bunker. To say that Camp Fantastic is a very special and loving event is an understatement. Held annually at Southwind Farm, it gathers together children facing serious illness and those caregivers who look after them including many in the Culpeper community who volunteer their time. This young Nigerian goat from Gold Rush Farm is a great cuddler.

Curd Quips- Real deal: Rave reviews for raw milk

- Taller than me and with very focused eyes, I knew that something was up when the cheesemaker grabbed my arm and led me out of the room. We moved away from the reception and into the hallway where he let go of my arm. He was silent for a moment as he interlaced his fingers and wiped his intertwined hands across the crown of his head, exhaled while looking up at the ceiling, and then brought his eyes back down to mine while placing his hands on my shoulders.

Courtesy photo. Stoat completes 24-hour challenge on the Appalachian Trail, Congrats Ashley!

Of course, Poppins and I happen to be a part of this group of fools. The adventures of Poppins and Stoat continue.

Curtain Calls: “Tartuffe” - False prophets and true believers

Moliere's "Tartuffe" plays at the Shakespeare Theatre. Photo courtesy of Shakespeare Theatre.
- Like any good master of farce, Moliere knew that there is a very snug relationship between humor and truth. If your audience can’t recognize the truth in a parodied situation, they won’t see the humor.
