Two arrested following fight call

Two men were arrested by Culpeper police responding to a fight call on Virginia Avenue this afternoon. One of the men was a fugitive from Pennsylvania.

Officer Brittany Jenkins charged Enrico Fionn Hernandez, 39, of Alexandria, faces felony charges of malicious wounding, unlawful wounding and cut, stab or wound.

Gregory Wallace, 30, of the 9000 block of Sperryville Pike, was wanted by Alleghany County, Pennsylvania authorities for failure to appear on several felony and misdemeanor charges. He faces extradition to Pennsylvania.

About 1:15 p.m., police responded to a call of two men holding down a third man in the yard of a home in the 800 block of Virginia Avenue. When Sgt. Al Cooper and Officer Matt Haymaker arrived, they saw Hernandez being held on the ground by Wallace and a 37-year-old man, who lived at the house.

During the fracas, Wallace suffered minor cuts to his face and neck. The 37-year-old man also had minor injuries. Both were transported to Culpeper Regional Hospital for treatment.

Detective Sgt. Jeff Dodson and Detective Luke Altman responded to the scene and collected evidence to assist with the investigation.

The joint sheriff’s office and police Street Crimes Unit is conducted a separate investigation as a result of the fight.
