Tree of Lights to be lit tonight

The Hospice of the Rapidan's 21st annual Tree of Lights celebrates the memory of loved ones and honors those you cherish during the Christmas season.

This year the lighting of the tree will be on Nov. 29 at 7 p.m. at 137 S. Main St.

The family of former HOTR patient Tommie Beales will illuminate this year's tree.

Following the tree illumination join in caroling on Main and Davis streets to Raven's Nest for mulled cider then back down Davis Street to the Presbyterian Church for the holiday program with music by David Gilmore. There will also be cookies, hot chocolate and fellowship.

Culpeper Street, to the rear of 137 S. Main St., will be closed from 6 to 8:30 p.m. for the celebration. The closure was approved by the Town of Culpeper Nov. 14.
