Travis Witt portrays Revolutionary War hero

Travis Witt will portray the Revolutionary War hero and Virginia pastor John Peter Muhlenberg at the Oct. 16 meeting of the Madison County Republican Women.

Witt will perform a re-enactment of Muhlenberg's renowned last sermon to his congregation in which he announced his decision to join the Continental Army under George Washington.

The meeting is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Madison Presbyterian Church, 1236 Fishback Road.

Everyone is invited. Dinner is available for $7.
