Town to flush fire hydrants

The Town of Culpeper Public Works Department will be flushing fire hydrants the week of Oct. 28 through Nov. 3 to maintain system water quality.

Some discoloration of water is expected, but the condition should be temporary.

Should the discoloration continue, please call the department at: 825-0285.

Hydrants in the south and east parts of town will be flushed beginning at 8 p.m. on Oct. 28 and Oct. 29, the downtown and west ends of town beginning at 8 p.m.. on Oct. 30 and the north part of town beginning at 8 p.m. Oct. 31, Nov. 1 and Nov. 2.

Flushing should be completed by 8 a.m. each day.
