Statement from Paul Walther

The following statement was sent by e-mail to Culpeper Times today from Paul Walther in response to his Tuesday night loss to Megan Revis Frederick for the office of Culpeper County Commonwealth's Attorney:

The electorate is similar to a jury and I can't help but see the irony in the role played in the election by what I know to be gross misrepresentations.

For better or for worse though, the voters have made a decision based on the information that was presented to them.

I wish Mrs. Frederick success as commonwealth's attorney. I am pleased that she has said that she will consider retaining all members of my team, as I know she will find them to be very talented and dedicated men and women whose knowledge and experience will be invaluable to her as she finds her way in that office.

I would also like to thank the many people who did vote for me and to express my gratitude to my campaign team and supporters for their substantial efforts and encouragement in this hard fought battle.
