Help support local family’s mission to Peru

Missionary zeal has caught the imagination and hearts of local residents Teresa and Caroline Jenkins. Members of Open Door Baptist Church, they are planning a trip to Peru this April to not only share the gospel with the villages of Lachaqui and Carhua but help in the local orphanage which houses several hundred children in need of love and attention. It is their first mission trip.

They need your prayers as well as dollars to help with the expenses for this trip. This Saturday, there will be a Wild Game dinner held at Open Door Baptist church located at 754 Germanna Highway. The dinner starts at 6 p.m. Music will be provided by the ever popular Troubadours.

Please call the church office if you plan to attend at 540-825-1549.

"Our family needs to raise $2,000 in total for us to go. This is quite a challenge. I can't wait to see how God provides in His awesome ways. I never imagined that my life would be used this way, but I have no doubt that this is God's plan for us," said Teresa Jenkins.
