Giving Circle offers grants

The Giving circle of Heritage Hunt announces its fifth annual round of grant applications for specific projects that help residents in Prince William County.

An applying organization must have a budget of less than $2 million, clear goals and objectives, and measurable outcomes. The deadline to request an application is Sept. 1 Final applications with accompanying materials will be received until Oct. 1.

Grant requests should not exceed $1,000. The Giving Circle of Heritage Hunt will not fund organizations that promote a particular religious or political ideology; endowment or capital projects and campaigns; special fundraising events; general operation expenses of an organization; or intermediary funding agencies.

The Giving Circle is made up of Heritage Hunt residents who each contribute $1 a day to create the charity fund. Every year, the group accepts grant applications from local nonprofits and awards funding.
