Dance with me daddy

These young ladies weren't prepping for the prom but it was a dance night not to be forgotten. The gymnasium at Pearl Sample Elementary School on Saturday evening glittered with colored swirling lights.

Daddies and their daughters took to the dance floor smiling and swaying to a mixture of current pop and dance floor classics including the ever popular YMCA, Casper or Cha Cha slide and classic rock. A pink ballooned archway spread over the professional DJ and a separate room was set up with food and refreshments.

But it was the dance floor where Pearl Sample's Ninth Annual Daughter-Daddy dance caught the flavor of a fun-filled evening.
Several of Culpeper's elementary schools have added this special evening to their calendars. It was a perfect way to celebrate Valentine's Day and no doubt an evening long remembered in the hearts and minds of these daughters and their fathers.
