Culpeper tells leaf collection times

The Town of Culpeper will perform loose leaf vacuuming through Nov. 27.

Loose leaves should be placed in piles at the edge of the street behind the curb or ditch line and away from parked vehicles to facilitate vacuuming. Leaves should not be placed in the street, in roadside ditches or so as to block storm drains. Piles of leaves must be free of all debris that could damage equipment.

Residents with small amounts of leaves may place them in their refuse container for regular collection. Bags of leaves will not be collected.

Remaining times are: Old Town (Mountain Run Bridge to Routes 3 and 29 S. includes east, west, Blue Ridge areas) Nov. 16; West End (Route 522 bridge to corporate limits. Includes Lakeview, Redwood and Lesco areas) Nov. 19, 20 and 21; North End (Route 229, Route 29N, Old Rixeyville Road, includes Belle Parc, Masby Meadows and Hiden Fields areas) Nov. 26 and 27. If you have questions, call public works at: 825-0285.
