• "Dinner at Eight" An all-star ensemble cast of some of MGM's biggest stars appear in this dramedy based on the Broadway hit by Geoorge S. Kaufman and Edna Ferber. Status concious Millicent Jordan plans a dinner party for an elite group of guests including a venerable former stage actress who is an ex-love of Mr. Jordan, a gruff self-made tycoon and his brassy wife and an alcoholic former matinee idol who is secretly carrying on an affair with the Jordan's daughter. • Stevensburg Baptist Church Ground Hog Supper from 5 to 7 p.m. Church is located on York Road just off Route 3, about five miles east of Culpeper. • Jefferson Ruritan Club 27th annual Groundhog Day pancake and sausage supper from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Jeffersonton Community Center at routes 802 and 621, off Route 229. Menu: Pancakes, sausage, friend apples, coffee and tea. Cost: $6.75 for adults and $3 for children age 12 and under. • The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter NSDAR will meet beginning at 10 a.m. at First Christian Church on Ira Hoffman Road in Culpeper. The program will be on presidents and valentines. Members are reminded to bring cancelled stamps and labes and box tops for the school programs.
• Pancake and sausage dinner at Mitchells Presbyterian Church, 12229 Mitchell Road. The dinner will be from 5 to 7 p.m. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Children under 5 years of age eat free. Proceeds will benefit the Culpeper Senior Center and other local missions.
