Christmas comes to Ellwood manor

On Saturday, Friends of Wilderness Battlefield will host the fourth annual "A 19th Century Christmas at Ellwood Manor."

The doors will open at 9 a.m. and guests may visit until closing at 2 p.m.

The 18th century home will be decorated for the Christmas season by the Fawn Lake Garden Club. FoWB's volunteer interpreters will be on hand to welcome all visitors.

Santa will be in the house from 9 to 11 a.m. There will be period music by Evergreen Shade from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. along with readings of Christmas letters from Civil War soldiers.
