AARP offering driver safety course

AARP is offering an eight-hour classroom course that helps drivers refine existing skills and develop defensive-driving techniques.

Participants will also learn ways to handle adverse driving conditions and hazards as well as explore the effects of aging and medication on driving

The course is four hours each day on Nov. 7 and 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community. Advance registration is required.

The course is espeically for active duty and retired military service members and dependents and spouses, but anyone may attend.by paying the $12registration fee for AARP members and $14 for non-members.
